Microbiological testing is fundamental for verification of the health values of food products and water. MK offers a full service, from critical point identification to product analysis.
The Laboratory is also able to provide a sample collection/taking service with specialist staff.
- Sampling and microbiological assessment of food products such as meat and derivates, meat products, fish and derivates, cereals and derivates, baked goods, oils, eggs, milk and dairy products, vegetables, fruit, spices, herbs, beverages, dietary supplements, animal feeds and infant foods, with testing for pathogen bacteria such as salmonella, listeria and staphylococcus
- Shelf life: assessment of microbiological parameters for shelf life, to identify and measure pathogen microorganisms in the food, and organoleptic tests to assess taste, aroma, colour and appearance, and evaluate the minimum storage life
- Sampling and analysis of environmental samples to assess the cleanliness and disinfection of surfaces and equipment
- Microbiological assessment of water for human consumption, swimming pool and spa water, and process water
- Active and passive sampling and analysis of workplace air
- Sampling and analysis of compressed air in contact with foods and packagings
